Our technology

Recovery is engineering, not just softness.

Most recovery footwear gives you one thing: squish. We spent two years building something that does three jobs at once, because that is how many jobs your foot needs done.

Patent-pending Tri-Motion Technology

Three zones, mapped to the foot strike.

Tri-Motion is not a foam. It is three functional zones built into one sole, each tuned to a different phase of the step.

Cushion and control

01 - Heel strike

Cushion and control

Maximum cushioning for shock absorption, with a deep heel cup and side stabilizers to help prevent the ankle rolling. The foam compresses for a smooth landing.

Arch and posture

02 - Transition

Arch and posture

An ergonomic contour for a comfortable standing position, and a high-density arch shape that supports the foot through a smooth transition forward.

Roll and release

03 - Toe-off

Roll and release

Increased toe spring for a natural rolling motion, with top and bottom flex grooves so the forefoot bends without resistance.

Patent-pending. Developed over two years and validated with a doctor of podiatric medicine.

What that gives you

Eight things the sole is doing while you stand still.

Stability

Deep heel cup and side stabilizers provide motion control.

Arch support

Optimal arch support to help tired feet recover with each step.

Toe spring

Increased toe spring assists with forward walking motion.

Flexibility

Top and bottom flex grooves for optimal forefoot flexibility.

High-abrasion outsole

A durable, grippy outsole built to hold up to the way these actually get worn.

Breathes

Perforated upper allows for maximum air flow and quick drying.

Lightweight

Light materials reduce muscle fatigue, creating a natural underfoot feel.

Stimulates

Inverted box nodes stimulate blood flow and provide a tactile feel.

Perforated uppers and box nodes vary by style. Check the product page for what a specific pair includes.

Two foam platforms

Same three zones. Two different soles.

Tri-Motion is the geometry. The foam underneath it depends on what the pair is for.

Foamotion Formula

Our proprietary recovery foam

Impact-absorbing foam built up in layers. The number of densities changes by style, so the ride is tuned to the silhouette instead of one setting for everything.

  • Originals - Hoya, Pacific, Oceanside: the most structured build
  • Active - Flip, Slide, Two-Strap, Adjustable Slide: a softer, simpler build
  • Skyline - a single-density midsole over a supportive outsole
VELOUS REthink

Bio-based and recycled

Our closed-toe platform, re-thought around sugarcane-based bio-foam and recycled materials, with none of the support given up.

  • 50% bio-foam outsole and 20% bio-foam midsole
  • 25% recycled footbed
  • 100% recycled polyester top cloth

How it was built

Two years, and a podiatrist who rides.

Tri-Motion took two years of development and testing before it went on sale. Prototypes were tested and refined with Dr. Timothy Mineo, DPM, a podiatrist, foot and ankle surgeon and competitive cyclist, who helped shape the final geometry of the three zones.

Patent-pending.
