For the best fit with the Active Flip, we usually recommend sizing from your traditional size for a more relaxed fit. Our unique underfoot contour and deep heel cup may make the fit slightly smaller than standard sizing.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I don't usually take the time to write product reviews, but this info will definitely be helpful to other runners. I know many Hoka customers have stopped buying the Hoka recovery flip because they changed the fit as well as the foam (both changes negative IMO) I have tried for the past year to find an equivalent. This Active Flip is exactly what you will be looking for. I have large bunions and need extra width up top, but still need something snug across the top of my foot and NOT a wide heel. I also want the foam to feel cushiony--I'm putting it on after a long run and my old feet need this! I finally found a flip that meets all of these criteria. They also have a cloth toe post--another bonus! I would wholeheartedly recommend these and plan to buy other colors. Agree to size up if you're a 1/2 size. I wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Velous, for taking the time to design a great flip flop.

Not as soft as Oofos. Ok for indoor use not for long walks. Doesn’t hit my high arch the same.
